A warm welcome for the Americans

On 9 January 2020, the latest team of firefighters from the USA arrived at Sydney International Airport.

On 9 January, 2020 NSW Rural Fire Service Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons went to Sydney Airport to welcome the US firefighters who came to support Australian firefighting crews.

As they came through the arrival gate, those gathered gave a spontaneous and lengthy round of applause, reflecting the gratitude and admiration we all have for their generosity and assistance.
